more color, please?

in early January, like everyone else on Instagram, I spent some time reflecting on 2018. 2017 had been a rough year for me, but from the very beginning, 2018 said “hold my beer” and made 2017 look like a giant box of puppies. some days I barely got out of bed. some days I cried until I had nothing left, and then I cried some more. and some more. Costco packs of Kleenex Ultra Soft were my best friend. my pink maribou stilettos never made it out of the closet.

through it all, my Instagram posts became fewer, farther between, and less colorful... concrete documentation of losing my sense of fun, my sense of adventure, my passion for life. I hadn’t really noticed just how bad things were until I went to yearofcolour.com and came up beige. so beige. wtf?
